How To Use The Transit System
Catching the Bus
Check the system map to see which streets the bus operates on. You can catch the bus at any intersection along the route. Wave at the driver and the bus will stop to pick you up after it safely clears the intersection.
Fares Effective 10-1-2014
Exact fares are required. Have your change ready when you board the bus and place it in the fare box.
Regular Bus Fare - 80 cents
Children (6 to 17) - 65 cents
Children (5 and under accompanied by adult) - Free
Senior Citizens (65 & up) and persons with valid Medicare cards - 40 cents
Handicapped - 40 cents
Shopper Shuttle - Same as above
All fares are subject to change
If you need to transfer from one bus to another to get to your destination, you may obtain a free transfer from the driver when you pay your fare. Most transfers are made at the Quay Street Transfer Point. Sorry, no transfers to or from the Blue Water Trolley.
Fare tickets for use on the system may be purchased at the Blue Water Area Transit Office on Cleveland Avenue.
Go-As-You-Please monthly passes for unlimited transportation may be purchased for $25 at Sperry's, St. Clair Community College Bookstore, FIA, Union Bus Terminal, the Eastern Michigan Bank in Port Huron and the Blue Water Area Transit Office on Cleveland Avenue.
Hours of Operation
Monday through Wednesday - 6:15a.m. to 6 p.m.
Thursday and Friday - 6:15a.m. to 10p.m.
Saturday - 8:15 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday - no service
Evening and Saturday Service
On Thursday and Friday nights after 6:00 p.m., and all day Saturday, route 5 and the Shopper Shuttle run every 40 minutes. All other fixed routes depart Quay Street every other 40 minutes. See Routes for each route's departure time.
